Hospital Quality, Convenient Access

LyChron's facility is accredited by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) and conveniently located in Silicon Valley, a center for biomedical research.

Opened in 2000, our Silicon Valley facility is situated between three international airports: San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. The region provides not only a wealth of major hospitals, universities, and other professional resources for medical researchers and entrepreneurs but also close proximity to Northern California’s world-class travel destinations such as Napa and Sonoma Wine Countries, Carmel and Pebble Beach, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, and much, much more.

Surgical Suites
LyChron offers spacious hospital-grade operating rooms (ORs) with adjacent pre- and post-operative care areas for meeting the unique needs of each study. The facility has an extra-large suite that can accommodate multiple stations and anesthesia hookups for in vivo physician training or large groups. Each suite is fully equipped with anesthesia machines and ventilators, as well as hemodynamic and airway gas monitoring instrumentation.

Necropsy Rooms
LyChron’s dedicated, state-of-the-art necropsy suites have full tissue harvesting and fixation capabilities. The rooms include elevating downdraft tables or local exhaust systems for directed ventilation, wet lab space for conducting investigative procedures or refining study designs, and counter space for intricate work.

Housing
LyChron’s AAALAC-accredited housing accommodates large and small animal models for long-term survival studies of multiple species. We can adapt our housing to suit your specialized study needs.

Conference Rooms
LyChron has multiple conference rooms available to host physician, sales, client, and didactic training, symposiums, lectures, and advisory board meetings for groups large and small. The LyChron staff can coordinate your audiovisual and catering requirements. As your office away from home, our conference space in the laboratory includes wifi, internet capabilities, and other business essentials.

Amenities
To ensure your safety and comfort, LyChron provides exhaust fume hoods, vented solvent cabinets, extensive workspace, and other amenities. All procedure and meeting rooms have either wifi connectivity or Ethernet connections to maximize your efficiency. We offer complete services around the clock, and flexible scheduling to accommodate weekend and after-hours studies.
